VW Golf GTI 16V - 1988, Gr. A - Bruno Thiry/Wolf-Dieter Ihle

After the 1988 Safari, the VW was sold to Dr. Helmuth Czekal in Austria and registered with the number plate O.102.014. The Raimund Baumschlager/Andreas Wolf team took third place on their very first outing, the Kärnten Rally. Three weeks later, they achieved a fine 8th place overall at the Sanremo Rally, which is part of the WRC. Mehr >

Audi 90 Quattro - 1989, Gr. A - Rudolf Stohl/Richard Dvorak

Rudi Stohl used to own two different Audi 90 Quattro and this one with registration W-AUDIB-3 always remained in family ownership except for a small episode in Greece. In 1991 at the Rallysprint in Bruckneudorf, Rudi shared this 90 with his son Manfred. For Stohl junior, it was the first rally of his career. Mehr >

Suzuki Ignis Super 1600 - 2002, Gr. A - Niki Schelle/Thomas Fuchs

His Suzuki Ignis S1600 dates back to his time in the Junior World Championship, it was the test car at the time. After the WRC project was discontinued, he collected everything that was left over from the factory entries. Mehr >

Subaru Impreza 555 - 1994, Gr. A - Marc Schippers/Robèr Romviel

Marc Schippers bought this Subaru in mid-2018 form Coen Vink, a Dutch rally champion who did not drive this Subaru much. He was lucky enough that he sold it. Then a complete restoration of the white car started by GP Elite with Dick de Graaf and Ian Gwynne from BGM. One and a half years later the car was completely done. Mehr >

Nissan 240RS - 1983, Gr. B - Mike Kirkland/Achim Loth

This car is one of three Nissan 240RS that, in 2008, were brought from Kenya to Germany for participation in Slowly Sideways events. Unfortunately, the restoration process was not quite as easy as had been hoped because there are hardly any spare parts to find anywhere in the world, all 240RS parts seem to have vanished. Mehr >

BMW 2002 Ti - 1972, Gr. 2 - Martin Hüsgen/Andreas Kurz

This BMW 2002 was created during the Corona crisis as a copy of the 1972 Group 2 rally works car used in the Olympia Rally. This BMW was completely rebuilt at Arwed Hafner in Bad Aibling, one of the most renowned BMW experts, on the basis of a stripped bodyshell and always with the motto: as close to the original as possible. Peugeot 309 Gti - 1989, Gr. A - Kalle Grundel/Daniel Jünger

In January 2018 Daniel Jünger was able to acquire this 309 because he has a very special relationship to this Peugeot. His father was a mechanic at Peugeot Germany and built and serviced this 309 and Daniel himself was an apprentice at that time too. Mehr >

Opel Kadett GTE - 1976, Gr. 4 - Rauno Aaltonen/Lofty Drews

Josef Schölderle had already participated in the East African Classic Safari as a co-driver and thus had a connection to Africa. He also liked the Safari Opel Kadett of his Slowly Sideways colleague Norbert Zuckermann so much that he decided to build the sister car, which was driven by Rauno Aaltonen in 1976. Mehr >

Toyota Celica ST185 - 1994, Gr. A - Nicky Grist/Matt Edwards

After Portugal in 1994 this Celica was sold to Toyota Team Sweden. TTS then sold it to a private customer in Norway who kept it for a couple of years and then sold to David Greer in Northern Ireland in 1997. Mehr >
