The tenth edition of the ADAC Eifel Rallye Festival will take place in the Volcanic Eifel from July 23rd/25th, 2020 and will based again in Daun. "This is a unique success story," says its Organisation Manager, Otmar Anschütz, as he looks forward to the anniversary. "When the MSC Daun decided to hold the Festival instead of the previous national stage rally starting in 2011, we were all very confident. But none of us would have ever dreamed that it would become such a big success.”

Former world champion Stig Blomqvist - permanent guest at the Eifel Rallye Festival - is well on his way to repeating his victory of 2015 at the East African Safari Classic. After halfway through the rest day in Tangier, he took the lead and is now moving away. The surprise man of the rally is the Austrian Kris Rosenberger, like Blomqvist in a Porsche 911.

The Visser family was visited today by Ursula Kleinmanns, Reinhard Klein and Otmar Anschütz. The joy was great - on both sides. The organisers of the Eifel Rallye Festival were particularly pleased with the couple's considerable progress towards recovery. But also the plans for the visit of the anniversary festival in July 2020 were addressed. "We invited them and would be very happy if the visit could be realized!

The date for the tenth anniversary edition of the ADAC Eifel Rallye Festival is set. From July 23rd to the 25th next year, the tenth edition will take place in the Vulkaneifel centred, as usual, around the starting and finishing point of Daun. As in the previous nine years, around one hundred and sixty rally cars covering fifty years of rally history will bring the fans to the tracks of this fascinating sport over the Festival weekend.

The shakedown of this year's Eifel Rallye Festival was over before it had really started. There were some injured in an accident, the worst ones were Titia and Mets Visser from the Netherlands. Many participants, helpers, functionaries and fans asked again and again about their state of health. With the agreement of both spouses, we are giving an update today:

Bram Lambrechts, Herk-deStad, Belgien, Gilian van Harmelen, Almere, Niederlande, Andreas Dietrich, Langöns, Deutschland, Nina Müller, Düsseldorf, Christoph Schneider, Hamburg, Deutschland - these are the five photographers that have impressed our chief juror Reinhard Klein most with their particularly spectacular, atmospheric, artistic or simply inventive pictures and are thus the winners of this year's photo competition. They have 'beaten' 82 photographers from 10 different countries who have send in a total of more than 400 images.

Remaining stocks of the programme booklet for the Eifel Rallye Festival 2019 can be purchased via the Rallywebshop.

In the volcanic Eifel around Daun, the earth will tremble and the air will burn. But the reason is not the extinct volcanoes that gave this landscape its name. At the ADAC Eifel Rallye Festival (July 18th/20th 2019) one hundred and seventy cars from the history of rallying will set the region vibrating. At the largest rolling rally museum, often referred to as the "The Elephant Parade of Historic Rally Sports", there is a comprehensive collection of original and faithful rally cars from the history of this wonderful sport.

The reputation of the Eifel Rallye Festival now extends far beyond Europe, and the origin of the cars, drivers and fans at the event this year is testimony to the 2019 motto of "Rally Around the World".

Fabian Gaukler's winning photo from 2018 has everything that makes a great rally photo: Action, atmosphere and fans are composed into a work of art. When the infamous Eifel weather hit the stages on Saturday, these fans simply converted an Opel-branded rain poncho into a two-man tent. With this photo Andreas Dietrich won the special spice “most inventive image”. Federico Acosta captured the night action at the start of the proWIN Hilgerath stage in a very special way - with a pan shot and an exposure time of four seconds.

A look at the entry list for the ADAC Eifel Rallye Festival (July 18th/20th, 2019) also reveals a gradual change in the character of the vehicles taking part. In recent years, Group B cars have not featured much in live demonstrations. Their value is constantly increasing and the supply of spare parts for them is becoming more and more difficult. Therefore, the owners often park these cars and hold them as an investment and at least some of them can be seen in museums. For Festival fans, there is a big exception here in the Eifel since no fewer than thirty-three vehicles from the Group B era are registered.
