Is the Eifel Rallye Festival a regularity event or a special stage event for historic rally cars?

It is neither of these. Just like all "Slowly Sideways" events, the Eifel Rallye Festival is a demonstration event for historic rally cars which does not have any kind of timekeeping. However, the event is run on closed rally stages previously used in the German rally championship and the drivers will certainly not be cruising slowly round them. Most of the drivers have many years of experience in rallying and certainly know what they are doing.

The reason that the Eifel Rallye Festival is a demonstration event is that we like to present a wide range of historic rally cars - and this includes the Group B supercars that are not allowed to take part in any kind of normal rally.
