Win a ride in the Lancia Delta S4, Gr. B with Niki Schelle
This Lancia Delta S4 owned by Bruno Ianniello was one of the 200 homologation cars needed for Group B homologation and named by Lancia as the "Stradale". When converting it into a competition car, Ianniello installed many evolution parts from the rally car. Thus the S4's DNA is very close to the one of the former works cars and it has 550 bhp. On the Eifel Rallye Festival, the S4 will be driven by former Suzuki factory driver Niki Schelle who today is a well-known car tester and presenter for the German TV car magazine Grip.
The Lancia Delta S4 was highly successful in its first full WRC season. The 4WD supercar with turbo- and supercharging won in Monte Carlo and Argentina while coming home second overall in Sweden, Greece and New Zealand. This was enough to be runner-up to Peugeot in the Manufacturers World Championship. The victory in Argentina was also the first WRC win for Lancia's rising star Miki Biasion.
At the 2019 Eifel Rallye Festival from July 18th to 20st you have the chance to get a co-drive in this car. During the shakedown of the 2019 Eifel Rallye Festival, Niki Schelle will give you a ride in this Lancia Delta S4, Gr. B.
The co-drive will take place during the shakedown of the Eifel Rallye Festival on Thursday, July 18th 2019, between 15.00 and 19.00 hrs. The location is the new, 5.4-kilometre 'Maubach-Arena' near Darscheid/Vulkaneifel which will be used for the first time ever on a rally event.
Half of the proceeds will go to the Lions Club Daun (https://www.lions.de/web/lc-daun) for his activities (Christmas package campaign) in the Daun region and half to the KinderHerz Foundation www.stiftung-kinderherz.de/index.html.
When the auction is over, the organisers of the Eifel Rallye Festival will inform the highest bidder about the procedure for their participation at the Shakedown.
During the ride, the co-driver is obliged to wear a helmet and fire-proof safety clothing. Both helmet and clothing will be supplied by the organisers of the Eifel Rallye Festival. In order to be able to provide the correct equipment, the organisers will need to know the size and weight of the co-driver plus his helmet size. Additionally, the co-driver will have to complete and sign an Exclusion of Liability. If the co-driver is not yet of legal age, the Exclusion of Liability will have to be signed by his or her legal guardians.
Contestants should note that an essential prerequisite for participating as a co-driver is that they can be properly located in the co-driver's seat and fitted with the full harness seat belt so as to comply with the safety requirements of the event.
