Rally fans from all over Europe will want to put this date in their calendars for next year. The organisers are delighted to announce that the ninth edition of the ADAC Eifel Rallye Festival will take place from July 18th to 20th, 2019, in the Vulkaneifel region. As in previous years, drivers from four continents will transform the city centre of Daun into a huge international rally family meeting.

Fabian Gaukler, Björn Seliger, Andres Bueno, Andreas Dietrich and Federico Acosta - these are the five photographers that have impressed our chief juror Reinhard Klein most with their particularly spectacular, atmospheric, artistic or simply inventive pictures and are thus the winners of this year's photo competition. They have 'beaten' 107 photographers from twelve different countries who have send in a total of more than 500 images. This was not only the most international entry in the competition ever recorded in eight years, the variety of pictures was also outstanding.

The 2018 edition of the Eifel Rallye Festival that was held from July 19th to 21st had all ingredients that a good Festival should have. An enthusiastic audience celebrated more than 170 rally cars representing more than 90 different types of cars and participants from sixteen different countries headed by more than a dozen famous drivers from the past including former World Rally Champions Stig Blomqvist and Timo Salonen.

Clemens Beha reduced a Toyota Corolla WRC to the rôle of supporting actor and instead made the scenery of the Eifel become the star. Jean-Christophe Dechene used just the right amount of Photo Shopping to highlight an Alpine A110 diving through a watersplash on the Super Stage. And Kevin Hartbrod took a pair of sunglasses, a cap, a festival ticket and of course a camera to make a dog look as cool as a cucumber. They all impressed the jurors and therefore all won prizes in last year's photographic competition.

Just one week to go until the eighth edition of the ADAC Eifel Rallye Festival (July 19 - 21, 2018) kicks off in Daun. While the one hundred and seventy-plus participants are giving the final touches to their classic rally cars, many helping hands from the MSC Daun are involved in the final preparations of the Festival. They want to be 100 percent ready for tens of thousands of international guests who will come to the Vulkaneifel for this unique demonstration event. "It is time to finally get going.

The quantity and quality of cars coming to Daun is simply unrivalled, especially in terms of originality. All cars of the main field resemble a famous rally car from the past. After the successful auctioning of a co-drive with Jochi Kleint in the newly-restored 1986 Pikes Peak Golf from Wolf-Dieter Ihle's collection, Volkswagen now pile up the fire and offer a ride in their 1987 Pikes Peak car at the 2018 Eifel Rallye Festival. This prototype is one of the most extreme Golfs ever built. It is based on a space frame chassis and powered by two 1.8-litre turbocharged engines each with 326 bhp.
