Eifel Rallye Festival without Röhrl

Due to other commitments for Porsche, Walter Röhrl will not participate in the Eifel Rallye Festival this year. The two-time World Rally Champion was supposed to be part of the "Pikes Peak Parade" and drive his original winning car from the 1987 "Race to the Clouds".

The participation of Audi Tradition remains unaffected by Röhrl's rejection. As planned, the Ingolstadt-based company is bringing the Audi Sport Quattro E2 from 1987 as well as the 1985 Pikes Peak winning car, an Audi Sport Quattro, to Daun. One of the two Quattros will be driven by Harald Demuth, the driver of the other Quattro is not decided yet.

In addition to the two Quattros from Audi Tradition, the Pikes Peak Parade also features some other highlights: Jochi Kleint will be reunited with his 1986 VW Golf Bimotor, American rally ace John Buffum will drive his 1983 winning car, an Audi Quattro A2. Rallycross specialist Mark Rennison will be at the wheel of a special Ford RS200 and Peugeot collector Erich Müller will show up with a newly built 205 T16 Pikes Peak.
