Philippe stieg 1988 vom Porsche 944 um auf den Ford Sierra RS Cosworth und wurde damit 1989 Vizemeister in der Schweiz. 1990 schaffte er sogar mit drei Gesamtsiegen den Meistertitel und 1991 gewann er auch noch die Euro Rallye Trophäe.

Philippe switched from a Porsche 944 to a Ford Sierra RS Cosworth in 1988 and became runner-up in the Swiss championship in 1989. In 1990, he even won the championship title with three overall victories, and in 1991 he also won the Euro Rally Trophy.
