172 cars, 6 decades, famous faces – The entry list is now online

The Eifel Rallye Festival celebrates "6 Decades of Rallying". From a 1962 Ford Anglia up to today's Hyundai i20 WRC driven by Thierry Neuville, the three-day event outlines the development of the story from the beginning of the speed era right up until today. This, of course, also includes some of the greatest Group 2, Group 4, Group B and Group A cars.

The entry list which was revealed today features 172 cars includes all course-opening, parade and exhibition cars and representing a total of 33 different manufacturers. What is even more astonishing is the proportion of drivers coming from outside Germany (49 percent) and the number of original rally cars (58) which have made history themselves some years or even decades ago.

The same accounts for the VIP drivers taking part in the Festival including World Champions Stig Blomqvist, Hannu Mikkola, current vice-World Champion Thierry Neuville, European Champion armin Schwarz, the German Champions Harald Demuth, Kalle Grundel and Matthias Kahle as well as Harri Toivonen, Gunnar Palm, Niki Schelle and Mike Kirkland.

Despite this impressive line-up, the core of the Festival remain the amateur drivers who are not afraid of driving their precious rally cars on the Vulkaneifel stages.
